The Day-To-Day And Once In A While Do’s For Anti-Aging…In A Nutshell

The Day-To-Day And Once In A While Do’s For Anti-Aging…In A Nutshell

Several of you have DM’d me about certain routines, what I do for this or what I do for that. I’ve answered those women directly but as an exercise, I sat down and wrote out all the little yet essential routines and habits, often underestimated when done alone but collectively, incredibly impactful for my anti-aging routine.  It’s the little things that add up to the big things, the big changes and improvements that I am likely to experience.

So here goes, a run-on or run-a-muck list of all I do. Some on the daily, some scattered throughout my days, a few of them only necessary a couple of times a year. They are in no particular order but I’m sure you can figure that part out.

ANTI-AGING TO-DO LIST

Meditate • journal • drybrush • exfoliate my face • exfoliate my body • moisturize my body • morning skin routine: vitamin C serum • hyaluronic acid serum • eye cream • moisturizer with SPF • drink water with vinegar • sometimes lemon too • hyaluronic acid supplement •  7-morning vitamins • collagen latte or collagen coffee • fasted cardio • interval training • resistance training • stretching • foam rolling • yoga • drink water • self-improve (or try to) • research • eat berries • eat avocados • eat spinach • eat kale • eat colorful veggies • eat nuts • eat seeds • eat good fats • eat protein • drink more water •  more sunscreen • facials • Botox • fillers • lasers • microneedling • shave legs • shave face • microblade eyebrows • bikini wax •mani-pedi • apply a face mask • apply a hair mask • color hair • keratin hair treatment • drink more water • 7 nighttime vitamins • nighttime skincare routine: retinoid • eye cream • serum du jour • moisturizer • read • breath • sleep •

I’m exhausted!

The whole thing is exhausting. So why do I continue to do it? Because it’s so worth it. And because I love a challenge. Because I don’t want society, or father time to tell me to give in. So when you go through your anti-aging to-do list (I’d love to read yours) I don’t want you to get discouraged.

Yes, it’s hard. Yes, it takes time. But so what? So does sitting on the sofa watching Netflix…well, that’s not hard, but it does take time. The point I’m trying to make here is that if looking younger and feeling healthy and strong is a priority for you, you will do it.

It is what it is. Your youth is not handed to you on a silver platter. You don’t get a monthly, lifetime subscription to looking young. That subscription expires and then it’s up to you to fly solo. Looking young is easy for the young; being toned and fit comes easier for them too. For you (me), it’s hard work.

Sometimes it’s really exhausting. I’m sure sometimes you want to quit this quest for youth and let yourself go. So if that happens, do what I do and take a few days off…a sabbatical from anti-aging. And then get back up on that unicorn and continue your search for the fountain. You will feel empowered. You feel energized. And you will feel so good about yourself. I promise.

Now you: Have you written down everything you do to look and feel better? If you have or if this prompts you to try it, please share it with me. I’d love to read what you do to keep your spring chicky status.

xoxo,

V
